To make it easier to add different field types when creating/editing a transaction, you can copy, cut, paste and move fields within the same document or from one document to another in a simple and dynamic way.
Note that you can also resize:
- automatic fields,
- edit fields (text input, read-only text and image fields).
Copy, cut or move a signature field
You can copy a signature field within the same document or move it to another document. The new signature field is created with the same parameters as the copied field.
You can move a signature field from one document to another within the same transaction. The moved field keeps the same parameters.
Copy, cut or move a form field
Copy a checkbox field
You can copy a checkbox field and add it to the same document or to another document of the transaction.
- When you copy a checkbox field in the same document (no matter the page number), a new checkbox field with a new unique ID is added to the same group.
- When you copy a checkbox field in another document of the transaction:
- if the target document already contains a checkbox group with the same name as in the original document, a checkbox field with a new unique ID is added to it and inherits the group’s attributes (such as the assigned participant).
- if the target document has no checkbox group with the same name as in the original document, a new checkbox group is created with the same name as in the original document and a new checkbox field with a new unique ID is added to it.
Note that you can only copy checkbox fields, not groups.
Move a checkbox field
You can move a checkbox field within the same document or to another document of the transaction.
- When you move a checkbox field in the same document (no matter the page number), the checkbox field keeps its original parameters and remains in the same group.
- When you move a checkbox field to another document of the transaction:
- if the target document already contains a checkbox group with the same name as in the original document, the checkbox is added to it and inherits the group’s attributes (such as the assigned participant).
- if the target document has no checkbox group with the same name as in the original document, a new checkbox group is created with the same name as in the original document and the checkbox field is added to it.
Note that you can only move checkbox fields, not groups.
Copy a radio button field
You can copy a radio button field and add it to the same document or to another document of the transaction.

- When you copy a radio button field in another document of the transaction:
- if the target document already contains a radio button group with the same name as in the original document, a radio button field with a new unique ID is added to it and inherits the group’s attributes (such as the assigned participant).
- if the target document has no radio button group with the same name as in the original document, a new radio button group is created with the same name as in the original document and a new radio button field with a new unique ID is added to it.
Note that you can only copy radio button fields, not groups.
Move a radio button field
You can move a radio button field within the same document or to another document of the transaction.
- When you move a radio button field in the same document (no matter the page number), the radio button field keeps its original parameters and remains in the same group.
- When you move a radio button field to another document of the transaction:
- if the target document already contains a radio button group with the same name as in the original document, the radio button is added to it and inherits the group’s attributes (such as the assigned participant).
- if the target document has no radio button group with the same name as in the original document, a new radio button group is created with the same name as in the original document and the radio button field is added to it.
Note that you can only move radio button fields, not groups.
Copy a dropdown list
You can copy a dropdown list and add it to the same document or to another document of the transaction.
When you copy a dropdown list, the new dropdown list keeps the original parameters but bears a new unique ID.
Note that you can only copy the dropdown list but not separate options.
Move a dropdown list
You can move a dropdown list within the same document or to another document of the transaction.
When you move a dropdown list, the dropdown list keeps its original parameters.
Note that you can only move the dropdown list but not separate options.
Select multiple fields
The transaction editor allows you to select multiple fields simultaneously, move them as a group and copy-paste them within the same transaction.
1. Go to the document page in the transaction editor.
2. Click and hold the left mouse button on an empty area of the document, then drag to draw a rectangle around the fields to select.
The rectangle can be drawn in any direction. Fields intersected by the rectangle are highlighted in real time during drawing.
3. Release the mouse button: all fields touched by the rectangle are selected.
To deselect, click on an empty area of the document or press Esc.
4. To move the group, click on one of the selected fields, hold the button down, drag the group to the new position, then release.
The relative positions between fields are preserved after moving.
To copy or cut the selected fields, you can use the keyboard shortcuts below or right-click on one of the fields to open the context menu (Copy, Cut, Paste).

Cmd + C |
| Cut | Ctrl + X |

Note that after a copy, you can paste multiple times in a row. After a cut, only one paste is possible as the clipboard is cleared.
Align fields
The magnetic snapping system makes it easy to precisely position fields in the transaction and template editor. When dragging and dropping, fields automatically snap to the edges and centers of existing fields, with no manual action required.
Magnetic snapping allows you to visually align multiple fields without pixel-by-pixel adjustment, achieve consistent rendering on transactions containing multiple fields, and save time when preparing complex documents.
Alignment activates automatically on any drag and drop in the editor. There is no button to enable.
1- Drag a field from the sidebar, or move an existing field.
2- Bring it close to another field: blue alignment guides appear automatically when edges or centers align.
3- Release the field: it snaps exactly to the detected alignment line.
4- The guides disappear immediately after dropping.
Rules and limits
- The alignment tolerance is 12 pixels in document coordinates (approximately 2 to 3 mm on an A4 at 72 DPI): if the distance between two alignable points is less than or equal to 12 px, alignment activates.
- When multiple alignments are possible, the closest one is used.
- In a multiple selection, alignment applies to the “leader” field (the one you are moving); the other fields in the group keep their relative position.
- Alignment is applied correctly even when the document is zoomed in or out on screen.
- If no other field is present on the document, magnetic snapping is inactive and the field is positioned freely.
