Once a transaction is completed, it is automatically archived. This operation may take a few seconds or minutes depending on the number of documents and participants.
Archiving a transaction includes:
- all signed documents,
- the evidence file (requester copy),
- the evidence file.
By default, all documents of completed transactions are archived through our Universign archiving system and can be retrieved via /archives endpoints.
However, if you have an Arkhineo electronic safe, you can also archive your signed documents via our Arkhineo connector. In this case, we provide you with the archiving configuration ID you should use in your API requests.
Namirial Archive
If the Namirial Archive option is activated on your workspace, you can also automatically send the documents of your completed transactions (signed documents, evidence files and captured documents) to a Namirial Archive vault, a NF 461 certified archiving space for very long-term preservation with probative value.
The documents sent to the vault, and the vault’s metadata values sent with them, are defined by routing rules that can rely on transaction and document properties. For more details, refer to Archive documents in a Namirial Archive vault.
